The ships are constructed of solid pine, and coated with a clear varnish ( that you can paint over if you wish ). All turrets on all models swivel ( for that broadside look ) which allows actual firing arcs to be determined, and can be removed.
These ships are made for playing on the floor and as such you'll find they're pretty much "trip" resistant, should you fall over one.
The ships you can see in these pictures have all been modeled on actual ships of the period. These are the standard patterns we produce.
When producing the patterns we have tried to model the silhouette of the real ships and include the appropriate number of turrets (main gun). If you wish for a differn't pattern we can probably help you out. Simply Email details of the ship you want modeled and if we dont have a pattern we'll knock one up, there's no charge for this service.
All models are hand-made by our craftsmen, and as such each model will differ slightly from others made to the same pattern. This combined with the natural variation of wood means all our ships look differn't.
